2014- November

The Cultch Preview show: Pieced Together. Proudly, I was accepted into the group show but sadly disappointed when I saw where and how they hung my art piece: Pages from a Playboy Magazine…oh well, better luck next time.

Writing side by side, facing North…writer's telling the truth of daily living, seeing and feeling…terrified and alive, wanting and revulsion…a new way to speak is through the pen; the black upon white paper. I feel the contrast and love the sound it makes. The earth gives us so much…and all humans do is consume and discard. We crave convenience over effort of profit. What is it we really want?

Last day of Life on the Line…the beginning of life to feel alive once again…and the end, like two sides of a coin.

My fifth Eastside Culture crawl in Vancouver at the Vinegar Factory. I've had three guests so far…a quiet Thursday night of babysitting that I wish to be over. Showing the art is a chore. I'd rather just make it.

The rain falls and I listen to jazz on CBC. Markus works the splits. I'm writing with my crew gift; a heavy pen given to me by John Travolta. It has a light on one end and the inscription: Life on the Line, Thank you, JT written on the pen lid.

It's been quite a year. There are many changes on the horizon. It's good. I want it all. All that life has to give. I'm in love and my sister is pregnant. As well, my sister-in-law is also pregnant. So much life coming forth. I'm so happy and I look forward to the furture.
